All student computers in the library are set-up to
print from the library's print system, except for laptops.
Laptop users may access the wireless network to send attachments
to themselves through their email account, and then print from
one of the 1st floor QuickPrint computers.
Printing in the library is provided through a cash
system. It accepts US nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollar bills
only.
Circulation Desk makes change for bills over $1.00, but
not over $20.00.
Not all library computers have copies
of commonly-used word processing software.
The campus labs (511
and 901) have computers that contain all
software taught at the college.
Computer Commons
To print from one of the 15 computers in the Computer
Commons located behind the 1st
floor copy center:
Open or create your document(s) in any of the MS Office 2007
products loaded on the computers.
Print like you would normally.
Note: the printer default is set to the "BW Printer",
which prints to a black and white printer.
If you prefer to print in color, please select the "Color
Printer" option.
When the blue screen pops up "name" your print
job, i.e. "your name" and click on "Send to
Server".
Before going to one of the PrintRelease stations, please
back-up your work to either your H:drive server space indicated
by your student number, or on a flash drive, or copy it into
the body of an email and send it to yourself, or send it as
an email attachment to your email address.
All work that is saved on the desktop or in MyDocuments is
automatically DELETED when you log off.
The library does not provide wireless printing at this time.

products loaded on the laptops.
Save your document(s) to a Reference Desk flash drive, your
personal external drive, email them as an attachment to your
email account.
Go to one of the three QuickPrint computers on the first
floor of the library near the Reference Desk. Scroll up to
read instructions about printing from a QuickPrint computer.

Email Computers
To print from one of the 30 research computers or
the 9 email computers in the lobby:
These computers do not have access to commonly-used word
processing software, although they do have access to the Internet
and a PDF reader.
When printing PDFs, please remember to use the Adobe Reader
printer icon.
There is a 10-minute time out at the 9 email computers in
the lobby, which is enforced by software loaded onto the computers.
There is a 1-hour time limit at the 30 research computers,
which is enforced by librarians when there is a line of students
waiting.
The printer default is set to the "BW Printer",
which prints to a black and white printer.
If you prefer to print in color, please select the "Color
Printer" option.

PrintRelease Stations
To pay for and release your print job from one of
our two PrintRelease stations:
Look for your print job "name" on the monitor.
Highlight it; puts a check next to the name
Insert your US nickels, dimes, quarters, or dollar bills
into the coin box on the floor next to the PrintRelease station.
The vend unit cannot accept coins larger than a quarter,
money from other countries, or bills over $1.00.
Circulation Desk makes change for bills over $5.00 and under
$20.00
Click on the highlighted and black bold OK on
the monitor.
