After successful completion of LIB 100 F Introduction to Research, the student will be able to construct an effective search strategy to locate information on a particular subject.

After successful completion of LIB 100 F Introduction to Research, the student will be able to evaluate and determine the validity of websites using appropriate criteria.

Annotated bibliography assessed against a department standard.

Introduction to Research

After successful completion of LIB 100 HF Honors Introduction to Research, the student will be able to construct and implement an effective search strategy to locate information on a particular subject.

English 60, Reading, and ESL 186 Classes

Upon completion of a 50-minute or 1 hr. 50 min. library instruction session, students will identify key terms that may be useful for locating information as measured by completion and accuracy of an in-class multiple choice quiz.

Goals are met when 75% of respondents answer the two assessment questions correctly. 

 
   
 
 

English 100 and Other Subject-Specific Classes

Upon completion of a 50-minute or 1 hr. 50 min. library instruction session, students will distinguish between online catalogs, databases, and Internet only search tools (Google, Bing, etc.) as measured by completion and accuracy of an in-class multiple choice quiz. 

Goals are met when 75% of respondents answer the two assessment questions correctly.
