Introduction to Research
(1 unit)

This class is designed to introduce students to print and online methods of research. Students learn to locate, evaluate, and correctly cite the information selected for use in a bibliography. This class is of special value to those students intending to transfer to a four-year institution.

Honors Introduction to Research
(1 unit)

This is an enhanced course designed to introduce honors students to traditional and electronic methods of research including the Internet. The course is of special value to those students intending to transfer to a four-year institution.

Research in the 21st Century
(2 units)

Students will examine the core concepts of information competency for locating, organizing, evluating and presenting information to conduct academic and personal research. Special emphasis will be given to copyright and plagiarism issues.
