Helpful hints:
Select your printer:
It is important you select either
the color or black-and-white printer BEFORE you choose to print
your document; the printer defaults automatically to the last
print job before your own.
For example, if the person before
you printed in color -- your print job automatically defaults
to the color printer UNLESS you choose the black-and-white
printer BEFORE you print.
Please ask the Librarian for assistance.
Images:
If you find an image online you
would like to print, it is best not to File-Print directly
from the Internet Explorer.
Save the file to your external
control device, such as a flash drive or a floppy. Alternatively,
you may save to the computer desktop -- but be advised that
all files are DELETED once the computer is rebooted or logged-off.
Go to Start-My Computer, locate
your image, select it, and double-click on it. Your image automatically
opens in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Click on the printer
icon on the bottom right of the window. Send image to the printer.
Adobe Acrobat files
When printing an Adobe Acrobat
file, be sure to click on the printer icon inside of Adobe;
do not select File-Print.
