Library News!

I. The New Library Website is launched!

Welcome to the new library website! In development since the Fall of 2006, the library is proud to announce its release. Usability testing was conducted by library staff and students. However, we are always looking for good ideas which may better serve your needs. If you would like to comment or offer a suggestion, please contact the Website Administrator, Systems Librarian, Erica Bennett.

If you are looking for another fun way to make friends and find library services, go to the Fullerton College Library MySpace page; become our friend!

II. The Gale Virtual Reference Collection is here!

A comprehensive collection of encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries and other reference tools. Off-campus access available. For more information, contact Head Reference Librarian, Mike Fitzsimmons.

III. The McNaughton Popular Reading program is coming!

All the Bestsellers!  Fiction and Non-Fiction!  Check them out and curl up with one! Where?  FC Library.  Look for them soon next to Computer Commons. For more information, contact Catalog Librarian, Dave Brown.

IV. The FC Online Historical Photograph Collection

The Fullerton College Library selected images from the archives historical collection that vividly illustrate the societal changes that have occurred during the college’s existence. Two hundred of those images have been digitized and are now available from Califa Digital Collections. For more information contact Circulation Librarian, Jane Ishibashi.

V. Online Research Through the FC Library

Looking for articles on a particular subject? The library provides Fullerton College students, staff, and Friends with the opportunity to conduct online searches for newspaper, magazine, journal articles and much more. Authorized users have the convenience of being able to access these database resources on-campus or off-campus. Users may enter the periodical databases by clicking on the Search button on the library’s website at: http://library.fullcoll.edu. For off-campus access, please request the password sheet from the library Reference Desk. If you have any questions about the databases, you may contact the Reference Desk at (714) 992-7061, ext. 25694.
