CITING AN INTERVIEW
(MLA 5.8.7)

There are three (3) types of interviews:
published or recorded interviews, television or radio interviews,
and interviews conducted by a researcher personally or by telephone
or email.
Depending on the type of interview, you will
need:

Name of person(s) being interviewed

“Title of Interview,
if provided, in quotations”

Type of interview if it is
a personal interview (e.g., email or telephone)

Day(s) Month Year of interview

If a published interview, provide
the Title of Publication, date, and page(s)
- f a television or radio interview,
provide the name of the show, the show’s location,
and the name of the person conducting the interview
The citation is arranged:
