All fines are calculated by including weekends, holidays and the hours
the library is closed.
Two week general circulating collection item overdue fines
are 25 cents per day w/maximum fee of $10.
Reserves: Two hour reserve overdue fines are $1.00 an hour.
Overnight reserves are $2 per day. Students can be charged the full
price of the reserve item as an overdue fine. Students who do
not return Reserve material will incur late fines up to the cost of
replacing the item with a new copy plus processing fees and overdue
fines.
Two day general circulating collection items are $2.00 per
day.
Students with fines of $5 or more may not check out any materials
until the balance is paid for in full or brought under the $5 threshold.
Also, a block will be placed on a student's record until the balance
is under $5.00 preventing the student from conducting transactions
such as registering for classes or obtaining transcripts. From one
week before the last class drop date until the end of the semester,
students must pay off the entire fee.
Refunds: Please note, fines and processing fees are non-refundable
even if a book/item is found and returned in good condition. A refund
will be issued for the replacement price of the book/item. Both the
carbon copy library receipt and the cash register receipt are required
to qualify for a refund. Refunds will not be issued for items
returned after six (6) months from payment date.
Lost books: Current replacement price + $10.00 non-refundable
processing fee + any outstanding fine.
Damaged books: If repairable, the fine is $10.00; if not,
current replacement cost, plus $10.00 processing, plus applicable
overdue fines.
Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 assessment fee and
must be replaced with cash or money order.
