Adaptive Equipment and Services

 

Computer Workstations

Two stations are available on the first floor of the library near the Reference Desk. They are equipped with a scanner, JAWS, Zoomtext, and Open Book software.

Also in the Reference Area is a workstation with the Magnisight Video Magnifier.

 

Media

Most of the class telecourse videos on Reserve at the Reserve Desk are closed captioned. VCRs in the library have closed caption capability for viewing.

 

Elevator

Signage directs patrons to the nearest elevator. The elevator opening on the first floor is adjacent to the Reference Desk and adaptive workstations.

 

Classroom

The library classroom, room 827, has an adaptive computer workstation and scanner available for disabled students attending library orientations.

 

Tours

Library tours for disabled students are available by scheduling an appointment with the Library Administrative Assistant at 992-7061.
